Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM Droid X

How to upgrade Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM Motorola Droid X. Just a while ago, Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread pre-release ROM is leaked for the Motorola Droid X, it’s time now to bring you step-by-step guide on how to install this pre-release 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM on your Motorola Droid X.

PREREQUISITES
1. Download Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM for Motorola Droid (Pre-release) on to your computer.

2. Install Bootstrap app on your Droid X and perform a backup.

3. Rooted Motorola Droid X. See our guide “How to root Motorola Droid X”.

4. USB connection between your computer and Droid X. You may install MotoHelper or setup ADB for successful USB connection.

5. USB Cable.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Connect your Motorola Droid X to computer via USB connection.

2. Copy the downloaded “Monster_2.3.3_4.5.573_updater.zip” to root of internal SD Card memory.

3. On your phone, launch Bootstrap app and reboot into Recovery.

4. Select “Install zip from sd card”.

5. Then select the ROM that you copied to the phone. If you used TBH App for downloading the ROM, you should navigate to the “teamblackhat” folder and then select the ROM.

6. After the process is complete, reboot the phone.

That’s it. You have successfully installed pre-release version of Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM on your Motorola Droid X. Unfortunately, if you are stuck up in boot-loop error, boot into Recovery using Bootstrap app, select “Wipe data/factory reset” and then reboot.
