Motivational speaking mogul and author James Malinchak leaves his jet-setting life behind to live in Gary, Indiana, a city hit hard by the economic downturn. He will spend a week living on welfare level wages in a rundown neighborhood. While there, he will spend time volunteering where his help is needed most, searching for deserving people and organizations that are making a real difference, and will surprise these heroes with donations of thousands of dollars from his own fortune.
Each week, one of the wealthiest Americans, worth millions of dollars, will go undercover into one of the most impoverished and dangerous towns in America. Their job is to spend one week canvassing the town – meeting as many people as possible – some of whom will touch the millionaire with their dedication to helping others while others will have incredible stories of trying to overcome tremendous odds.
